“Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has
been entrusted to you”- II Timothy 1:14
Worship God
-
Worshipping God is the reason we were created. At WW each of the children will worship the Lord through sing songs of praise, praying together, learning about God’s Word, serving one another, and outreaching to the community (John 4:22-24)
-
It is one thing to hear the Word of God and do nothing about it. It is another thing to hear the Word and apply it to our lives. We want to train our kids the importance of not only hearing the truths of Scripture, but also applying the truth to everyday life (James 1:22)
-
God created man to have a relationship with Him. However, not all of mankind has a relationship with God. In WW our heartbeat is for children to have and maintain a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Through weekly lessons there is the opportunity for children to strengthen their relationship with God or make a decision for God. (John 3:16)
-
God’s Word instructs us to build relationships with others. Wednesday Warriors provides a great opportunity for those relationships and friendships to start between the children (Heb. 10:24-25)
-
Our curriculum is based off of the Word of God. We hold to a high view of Scripture in all that we do. Everything we do from the singing to the teaching is based off the instruction of Scripture (II Tim. 3:16-17, John 17:17)
Outreach to Peers
-
Throughout the year the children are encouraged to invite their friends to WW. Also, we want to teach the children the instruction of Jesus to go into the world and outreach the lost (Matthew 28:19-20)
-
One of the ways to remember what is taught and what needs applied, is to memorize. The children are encouraged to memorize verses to help retain the truths of God’s Word throughout their days and potentially their life (Psalm 119:11).
Serve Others
-
Throughout the year the children are lead to participate in several projects that serve those in need. Through the application of scripture they are taught that they are called to serve and prefer others over themselves (Mark 10:31, Philippians 2:1-8)
