Typical Class Sizes and Age Groups  

2nd - 6th grade children attend Sunday School beginning at 8:45AM while children 1st grade and under meet during the worship service.  Ages are divided into manageable class sizes for our teachers with an emphasis on the younger classrooms maintaining the smallest teacher to student ratios.  The 5th and 6th grade classes are make their own distinct group which is taught and lead on Sundays and Wednesdays by the same leader.

How is classroom time spent, and what is taught?

The Generations of God curriculum is taught in our classrooms.  The curriculum is designed to teach or walk the student through the Old Testament for two years, and the New Testament in the third year.  
Sunday School classes that meet during the worship hour begin with singing, puppets, and group activities followed by the return to classrooms for detailed teaching of the lesson.  The older groups are challenged by their teachers with assignments and memory verses to be learned outside of the classroom.
 

What is Wednesday Warriors?  What are the objectives of Wednesday Warriors?  What are typical lessons like?  How is classroom time spent?

Wednesday Warriors meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:45PM to 8:00PM during the months of September to April for children ages 4 to 6th grade.  The teachers strive to foster the development of relationships amongst the students as well as discipleship.  Within the group as a whole, there are small individual discipleship groups that meet in breakout sessions after the lesson is taught.  Bible verse memorization is encouraged. 

Teaching and learning is only part of Wednesday Warriors because games are a huge hit with the kids as well as the live music for worship.  Throughout the year, there are special fun nights for the kids such as Beach night, PJ night, or Crazy Hat night.  The students are always fired up for fun on those nights! It’s a fun and unique atmosphere that is the perfect avenue for the students to invite their friends.
